Sintra the pitbull meets the roe fawn

As I know that some of /A's relatives do not read Swedish I'll write this one in English.

One day when /A was tendering her garden Sintra the Pitbull was a little bit uneasy running back and forth to /A, trying to get her attention.

When Sintra the Pitbull disappeared, /A decided to go and look what was going on. She found Sintra the Pitbull lying next to a small roe fawn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_Deer)  caressing and licking it.

/A thought that the roe fawn was hurt and abandoned, took it inside and called the Vets, who told /A that this was probably a 3 day old fawn, that the mother had left to get some food and the fawn was quite alright - actually in hiding for predators (like Sintra the Pitbull ...) The Vets said that /A (and Sintra the Pitbull) touching and leaving sent-marks didn't matter - just leave the fawn where Sintra the Pitbull had found it and leave it there.

After doing so, /A checked the place a few hours later and the fawn was gone (leaving no trace! - for all you with a morbid mind)

All this resulted in a fantastic set of pictures by Amanda Ahlnäs. Thanks to her for allowing me to publish them. All photos  are protected by coyright   - please respect.

By the way, Sintra the Pitbull is a rescue dog, I'd guess my Whippet puppy has more of 'the killer' gene than her.
